5 month-er

Ryder has hit the 5 month mark and we seriously can't believe how quickly he is growing! He had a doctor's appointment today and was in the 75th percentile for both height and weight as well as his little head circumference. He is just under 18 pounds and 26+ in long! Our little big boy :) We also had to have some shots today and other than a few tears after the actual pokes he has done really well all day! I'm so thankful! Shot's can be a little stressful on Mom and Dad too and so far he has acted completely normal. Ryder was a total flirt at the doctors office smiling,giggling and cooing for all of the doctors, nurses and office staff. He can be such a little ham! He got to see Dr. James (the doc who delivered him) and she tickeled his head and said "remember me?" and he totally cracked up! His little personality is really starting to shine and it is so much fun. We have a couple of mini adventures coming up so stay tuned for a picture overload!!! Oh so behind!!!

 ....Christmas continued. Wow with the holidays and birthdays and day trips every chance we can get, I've gotten so behind! So here is a long over due update on our favorite little man! Merry first Christmas morning chubby boy! We had a packed day seeing both sides of the family and opening all of Ryder's presents at home. Spoiled little baby had so many amazing gifts from our families that having more at home seemed insane! We are so lucky to have such wonderful families.

Well Christmas came and went but Ryder is still crazy about getting bundled up and going on stroller rides!

 

 He's getting better at standing up every day and will hardly ever bend to sit down anymore! We often chant "Flat as a board, flat as a board" when we pull him up!

 We also got to celebrate Tatum's 2nd Birthday!!!

 So getting a picture together didn't quite go as planned. The only thing more unpredictable than a 2 year old is a cranky baby! Haha!

Next we got the opportunity to enjoy some outdoor time and sunshine, including Ryder's 1st beach!

 Our silly boy really likes these baby sunglasses and we think he looks too cute in them :)

 We had a wonderful trip and Ryder traveled so well! I was so proud of how he did. We had beautiful weather and can't wait to take him again.

 

Here are just a couple of randoms from the last couple of weeks-

 So Dad got new prescription sunglasses, so the boys had to sit indoors in front of the fire wearing their shades. Haha they are 2 silly peas in a pod!

 

We continue to enjoy our little chub more and more every day. He is creeping up on 5 months old and has a doctors appointment next week so we'll have some stat's soon but he sure feels like he is growing like crazy! We hope you all are enjoying our winter days as much as we are. Goal -next post, next week!!!!

This ornament is a note that Adam's grandma wrote from when we went to get Ryder's first tree on their property. We thought it was a pretty cool little note about how we had permission to cut the tree, being grandchildren and great grandchild. We put it in a mini frame with a green background and hung it on the tree! Now we'll have it forever :)

Baby Ryder

We got Ryder's Newborn baby picture's back here's a little flashback of Ryder at 2 weeks old-



Happy 3 months to you :)

Our sweet little boy will be 3 months old tomorrow and Mama is heading back to work :( He'll have a good time hanging with Grandma Tammy and his dear old Dad while I'm working and missing him. So Ryder at 3 months is holding his head up really well, giggling, still loves being outside even when it's chilly (he gets all bundled and is all smiles), he loves hanging in the front pack  (our friend Kara let us borrow until he's big enough to enjoy his Ergo again),going to the grocery store, neck kisses from Dad, basically anything having to do with his Dad, Christmas music, and being read to is still a baby favorite. His not so favorite things are nap time, bath time (he used to love it!), getting in his car seat, and oh did I say nap time! Our day time naps have been a work to say the least but hopefully it will get better soon. At 3 months he is 15 pounds, wearing 6-9 month clothing.
