Birthday BBQ and 1st Mothers Day!

32 never looked so good! Adam was still rocking his helmet from his little "Birthday present to himself" :)We celebrated Adam's Birthday and Mothers Day with a little backyard BBQ. We had some really nice sunny weather, so much so that we had to move to the shade of the apple tree's! We really enjoyed visiting with Adams fam, especially watching Kaylie and Tessa play! Thank you so much for enjoying the sunshine with us!
Now back to Adams little "Birthday present to himself" Apparently the 3 wheeler club has room for a little something with 2 wheel's. He had a blast even just riding this thing around the yard. I wonder who will have more toys, Adam or the baby....
1st (unofficial) Mothers Day!!! Even though my little one is still safely tucked on the inside, I feel so blessed to be a Mom to this crazy little acrobat. It's already the best feeling in the world! I can't wait to see, hold and meet our amazing little person and I would already do literally anything for this baby. So excited for all the Mothers Day's to come!
My hubby always surprises the heck out of me with unexpected little sweet touches. He wrote me the most amazing Mothers Day card  (I think prego or not it would have still made me cry)and got me a plant to make the day special! I'm one really luck girl.
So starts the madness of buying and decorating! I think this will be the final color scheme for a baby girls room
.... and this for a little boy! We've started with the Grey, Orange and white for now. Just finished painting the room, in fact I'm typing with the paint covered hands that ungracefully painted the ceiling! I now have a fashionable forehead paint dot! Eat your heart out! Pictures to come, but not of the forehead dot :)

Well with that I just wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to all of the Mama's out there! I now have a glimpse of what a special and amazing job you have, and I couldn't be happier to get to join the club! I know a lot of work is ahead and that all of you have a ton of experience with the kind of work that I can only imagine right now. I just want to say that I know so many increadable Mom's (especially my own!) and I can only hope to do half the job that you all have done. It's more than I can ever hope to acomplish. Thank you all for being the best rolemodels a Mom to be could ever hope for!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful guy I know! I'm so so lucky to have such an amazing man in my life. Can't wait for the next 32+ years  with you!
This is my sad attempt at Grandma Shirley's awesome pie. It's definitely ugly but here's to hoping it tastes good!

Oh Baby!!!

Oh baby! We have a healthy Miss or Mister on the way and we are so excited! This is our sweet little person at 21 2/7 weeks showing off some pretty kissable lips :) We have decided not to find out what's brewing in there until the big arrival, so this little one has gotten some nick names... Adam has called it "Gremlin" for the wild way it kicks and squirms in my belly ( We even have an Ultrasound video of it looking like it was trying to head butt it's way out of my belly!) I've called it bug, little bun and sprout especially in the early days and we keep catching ourselves calling baby "He" or "Him" not that we have a clue what it is just that it slips out sometimes ( I think there is a little wishful thinking on Adam's part there ;)  Mostly it's "the person" here lately since it's definitely letting it's personality be known. It's a wild kicker, and pretty punctual with 6am kicks that I think are saying "wake-up it's time for Coca Puffs!" Ya' it's the baby that dig's the Coca Puffs....
It's a little bit of a show off, during the Ultrasound it was showing off every chamber of it's heart for the Ultrasound Tech, he said it's rare that you get such good pictures and measurements of all of the baby structures but that the baby was showing them off on Que! Oh and it's a pretty friendly baby, even threw a good kick for the Ultrasound Tech knocking his probe and having him saying "Whoa I felt that!" My favorite thing about this kid-o so far is that health wise our little sprout has checked out every step of the way always measuring on time (to the day!) passing all lab tests with flying colors, and having a strong healthy heartbeat from 6 weeks on :) Which has been anywhere from the 160's very early on and has settled now into about the 140's. We are so happy and excited to have our healthy little baby on the way! This fall is going to be absolutely amazing!!
This was a little exploration trip for the baby on it's great grandparents property at about 20 weeks.
My friend Angela and I get to be prego together! We are about 8 weeks apart, and she is expecting a sweet baby girl :) No matter what we have cooking I know these two buns are going to be great friends.
I thought we would start documenting my growth with my 12 weeks "Thanksgiving stuffed" look

But Adam, well he had me beat! Haha

These are some of the fun ways we shared our good news with close friends! We had these little cakes brought out at the end of a meal with a group of Adam's close high school friends. It was so fun to see their faces! Tristan swears he totally knew but I'm pretty sure Vince was eating cake before he entirely knew what the heck was going on! I'm so lucky Adam has such amazing friends with good taste because their wives have become great friends to me too and I loved sharing with them!
Having worked in the Birth center for 8 years (yikes!) has made it so I have a little pseudo family at the hospital, so I loved tucking these into our menu's for a girls work dinner night!
Proud Papa! Adam has been such an amazing Dad already! He's been busting his butt on a baby room remodel and still has time to cook dinner (after switching to 12 hour shifts I don't get home until after 8 which has him in charge on work days:( He's been so wonderful, this hasn't been the easiest of roads but he's been there every step of the way.
My first little reminder that I get to be a Mommy! Libby was so kind and gave us a little congrats gift including this little Dr.Suess book, 'Are you my Mother?' which I put on our dresser. I see it every day and it makes me smile :)
December 28th we got our amazing news!!!!!!
....and then we left for Sun River for New years :/ How in the world was I going to keep our good news under wraps for a New Years mini vaca with Justin and Katie and Tristan and Alicia?!! Somehow it all worked out but wow was it close a few times!
Future best bud's! Bucker has been really attached to my belly almost from day 1. I'm convinced animals totally know when their family has this kind of change. I hope the transition goes smoothly when there is a new baby of the family!
It's so crazy to watch this little bug grow!!
Here are some nursery colors and idea's we are looking at. All we know for sure is that we are going to do Orange and grey in the nursery for now and once the sprout makes it's arrival we can add some hot pink accents if it's a girl ( We like Colton and Rachel's taste! Haha) or some Navy blue if it's a boy. This Mobile from Etsy kind of helped me to decide that my Sis was right and we could do gender neutral and color instead of just doing beige and accenting later. We plan to paint some Grey and white horizontal strips on the wall hopefully in the next few weekends!
I love this for boy crib colors!
Here is the beginnings of the baby's room!
I loved this tiny picture from our Ultrasound at 14 weeks :) Cutest little bun, but I'm pretty partial!
And there are some little baby feet! Baby is crossed at the ankles just relaxing! Adam checked for the Reynolds Mortons toe, the jury is still out on that one!

Here is what our little baby's ticker sounds like!

Sun and Sunriver!

Beautiful Sun River weather!
We had some amazing BBQ in Sister's! I think Tristan and Alica recomended it the last time we were over that way with them, and it lived up to the hype!
We've driven by it so many times... finally talked Adam into taking the pic!
This weekend gave us some amazing weather to get out and explore in
Little bike ride to the store in SR
Weekend exploration= finding a sweet little waterfall! This is on Adam's Grandparent property near the spot they are planning to build a little weekend cabin. Adam has been loving going up and making cabin plans!
Adam's grandparents spring calf! This pic was for you Kaylie girl! I missed Easter (work) but I heard Kaylie LOVED the baby cow :)

Hope you all got to enjoy some much needed Sunshine this weekend! Can't wait to show you all our next post just getting some pictures together!!!

Work and Play

Oh the 3-wheeler... Adam loves this thing! With all the hard work he has been doing on our never ending house projects, he deserves nothing more than some outdoor time on the 3-wheeler. He's gotten Tony and Tristan in on the 3-wheeler bandwagon so now he has a little ridding crew. Watch out world the 3-wheeler is making a come back!
Much over-do face lift for the spare bedroom! New insulation and sheet rock. Now time for the fun part Mud and sanding. More pictures to come! I've been doing my best to be a helper for Adam on this project but he really has been working his butt off. He's also done the same thing to the wall in the living room (window wall) so we are doing a little bit of living under construction right now. It's always well worth it in the end. I'm so excited to bust out a paint brush soon!

In true Oregon fashion, a post about spring sunshine must be followed by a post about spring snow! This was a amazing spring snow because we had between 6-8 inches through out the 2 day white out!! We lost power so we had Elk stew cooked in the crock on the top of the wood stove and smore's. It was pretty fun but when the power was on it sure was nice to get a hot shower :) We are getting it all this spring!

Hurry! It's Sunny out... go outside!

With the sun out we where lucky enough to catch some rays and get visits by two of our favorites- Kaylie and Tatum! These two are total cuties who we completely love! Tess stopped by too but I didn't get a picture of her cuteness! Adam rigged up some extra soapy bubbles for Kaylie and a zip tie bubble blower! He such a Macgyver :)
Then Tatum was completely in love with all things boy, from driving in my Dads truck to digging in the dirt to running in the grass. That kid-o was all smiles until it was time to go inside. I don't blame him! Those sunny days are bookended with 3 rainy ones this time of year so feeling the sun on your face feels like winning the lottery! Hope you all got to enjoy some sun! Come on summer!

 This pick-up Cracks me up!!!!

Had to add this picture that totally cracked me up! I usually get to bed about 10 minutes after Adam, during that time Bucker always sneaks into the room and is NEVER turned away by Adam. Then bad guy has to come in (ME) and kick the cozy Pup out :( This is how I found him this time! This poor dog has a rough life!
